Homework for Wed. 6/8

Hi Everyone!

Please make sure that you write your lede for your editorial for Wednesday.

If you have time, print out articles that you will cite in your editorial. These should be articles that you think are legitimate sources and will support your opinion in a strong way. We will discuss what I mean on Wednesday.

As always, be on the lookout for our vocabulary words in your life and write down the sentences you see to share with the class.

*The TABE Reading Test will be held next Wednesday, FYI!

You have been working so hard, and I am impressed at the high attendance this far in the cycle. Keep up the excellent work and attendance. Your presence in our class is important and helps make our community so positive :)

See you tomorrow!
Karen

Respect and Disipline

Hi every one! this is sam
Respect & Disipline, These two words sound ordinary, but actually they have prominent
meaning and rule in our lives.
It has been years and years olders teaching their youngers
to have respect and disipline in their lives
always elders and olders expect to be respected by youngers.
"respect and Disipline" although these words don't need any language to speak,
they could be shown or expressed by your quality appearance.
IF you think deeply, this world stands up for these
words: To Respect, love and to show Disipline.

Homework for Monday 6/6

Hi everyone!

It is always a pleasure to teach you. Today was no exception. Thank you for being such a positive and supportive class to be around!

Your homework for Monday is to reread the editorial about overweight Canadians and score it according to the rubric I gave you today. You should have a grade for the lede, persuasive argument, research, paragraphs, spelling, and punctuation.

Also, think of a topic that you would like to write an editorial about. It should be about something that affects the public and that you can research from at least 3 sources.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Karen
