Hello, all-
Please continue working on your writing piece about your name. Your first draft is due next Wednesday. It should be typed on the blog for others to read and comment on.
Remember that GREAT writing contains the following:
1. Details (does your writing include the answers to questions that a reader might ask about who, what, where, when, why, and how? does your writing invoke the five senses- hearing, taste, smell. sight, touch?)
2. Imagination (is your writing interesting? do you take risks?)
3. Heart/Passion (is your writing personal and from the heart?)
Remember, like Sandra Cisneros' chapter My Name, you are writing not just about your name but about YOU, your culture, your family, your language, and your feelings.
