FORGIVING MY FATHER.

FOR ALL THE TIMES
YOU WERE ADDICTED TO DRUGS
THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS GROWING UP
I FORGIVE YOU

FOR ALL THE TIMES
YOU WERE NEVER AROUND
NEITHER WAS MY MOM
BUT A BOY NEEDS HIS FATHER
A LITTLE MORE THAN HIS MOM
I FORGIVE YOU

FOR ALL THE TIMES
DESPITE THE HEARTACHE AND CRAP
YOU PUT ME THROUGH
I FORGIVE YOU

FOR ALL THE TIMES
THE PAIN AND ANGER I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE
I WISH YOU WERE NEAR
THE TEARS THAT FELL FROM MY EYES
I STILL LOVE YOU
I FORGIVE YOU.

  1. Hi Kojo,
This is a really sincerely personal poem. I praise you for your ability to speak from the heart and communicate this heartache in your life. I think it is brave to share this with the class, and everyone has much to learn from you.
    Best,
    Karen
