GHANA AN INTERESTING PLACE TO BE.

Ghana is a beautiful country with gold, diamond and many other minerals but what really makes Ghana special is its diverse and culturally warm atmosphere which touches and embraces everyone.if you have never been to Ghana before,"Akwaaba!" Ghana welcomes you.
Ghana is located in the west Africa near the equator and on the Greenwich meridian. And is bordered on the north by Burkina Faso, on the west by Cote d'voire on the east by Togo and on the south by the Gulf of Guinea.
The colonial power that rule Ghana until their day of independence was the Britain. The Portuguese were the first to arrive and they named the place where they settled the Gold Coast. This became the name of the country till independence when it was changed to Ghana. Ghana was the first black African country to gain independence on the 6th March 1957. Dr Kwame Nkumah was the first prime minister of Ghana and in his first speech said Ghana your beloved country is free forever. The flag of Ghana consist of red, gold and green stripe with a black star in the center of the gold stripe. The red represents the blood of those who died in the country's struggle for independence, gold stand for the minerals wealth, while green symbolized the rich forest. The black star represent the lone star of African Freedom.
The country's economy is dominated by agriculture, which employs about 40 percent of the working population. Ghana is one the leading exporters of cocoa in the world. It is also a significant exporter of commodities such as gold and lumber.Ghana has an estimated population of 23 million, drawn from more than one hundred ethnic groups each with its own unique language. The education system is constantly improving and so the growth in tourism.Ghana has several tourist attractions such as the castles,Forts, wildlife protected Areas, national park, museum and the Volta lake. There really is no best time to visit Ghana,as the temperature is always Africa hot and if rainfall doesn't soak you, then the humid air will.if you prefer your soaking tropical in nature, stick close to the beaches.whatever the season, the weather gets more arid the farther inland you go.Village specific festivals and event occur throughout the year.
I end my essay by singing our national Anthem that says God bless our homeland Ghana.

The Teachers Association made a proposal about their salary and they presented it to the education minister and it was in the news that both the Minister of information and Education Minister has deleted some aspect of the proposal made by the teachers before sending it to the president. The minister of Information was so naive and started making an unecessary comment on the radio and that push the lenient teachers in the country whose salary has not been paid for about three months now.but it was overt that the teachers were on strike and the Education service menace some members of the teachers Association if they don't go back to classroom to teach or face their own disciplinary mechanism being applied to them. But some members of the Teachers Association undermined their leaders and started going to classroom to teach. It was true that the teachers were seeking for their legitimate single spine salary structure which the government promise to pay 15% percentage of Teacher Retention premium.
But with the integrity of some council of states and the chiefs the teachers has now call off the strike and the council of states and the chiefs has giving the teachers morale that they are going to talk the president.Because the polices are receiving the single spine salary,so the government should not be impartial but rather be fair to all government workers.

Vocabulary words, Fiction story

You would not believe what aday i had today, dining with my father and sister Betty. My father love's her better than me, as we sat to eat in the dining room there is a big yellow fan that illuminate the room.

My sister is pampered by my father, whether she is good or not. When I'm told to do something I comply to my father's rule, but with Betty he has to compel her. Yet her punishment was never drastic. That is a reminder that I'm not my fathers favorite and never will be.

I acknowledge I'm not as pretty as my sister, 'but candid thats me'. As my father continues to pick at my faults, I shut him out and pretended I am having a dialog over the phone with my friends.

As I was about to isolate myself from the table, my father called me back and start to reminisce about his obedient to his parents when he was my age. As father shift his black eyes to me I sank in my chair hearing him telling me I forfeit my night out with my friends, because i gave him deaf ear.

Betty shout out ' punish her' she was conise that makes me mad, but I was trying to avert the situation and rest my head on the table, thinking my father is nothing like my mother. She dresses appropriate and speak with a soft tone. She is from the country.

My father is a urban man, loud and full of excitement, I have an alternative never to married a man like my father. I glimps of father as he tried to fortify himself with the punch mother made. He is so erratic with his behavoir, love me one minute hate me the next.

Suddenly there was a nock at the door, miss brown came over, she is our neighbor. It was my chance to take refuge in moms room, she was doing an extencive cleaning. I listen as father told miss Brown anecdote. He loves to talk thats my father. My day today was a disappointed one.

Story For Wed, 3/09/ 11

You would not believe what a day I had. I was in the city getting a suit for my brother's wedding and I seen some urban suits. But, since I got my suit...I am satisfied. When I was on my way home, my niece called me after she got out of school telling me that she was isolated from the rest of the class because she didn't focus on her work. It started to rain before I went to the train station, so I needed refuge to protect me from the rain. While I was waiting for the rain to slow down I called my brother to see if he made anyone else forfeit in the video game. After a few minutes, I had no choice but to hang up on this erratic conversation because he started talking about non-sense. (10 minutes later the train arrived at the train station) I stepped on the train and sat down. I was being nosey and listening to 2 girls reminiscing about a dialog they had yesterday. When I was walking home from the train station I forgot that I have extensive amount of paper work to do for class today. But, as soon as I got home, I went to the fridge to get some food or snacks to fortify my focus so I can finish my papers. Since, all the lights were off, I had to turn them on to illuminate the house while I finish up my papers for tomorrow. So, the next day came. I woke up with a smile on my face because I finished my paper(s) for school while going through the worst yesterday. :)

On the Eve of christmas day, i happened to in a cab with two other boys who were travelling to spend the christmas holidays in Asiakwa. This was the dialog that went on in the Taxi Cab;
First guy......Do u REMINISCE our previous expedition in the URBAN?
Second guy...Yes i do.We were lucky to have found REFUGE when our vehicle broke down very close to the bridge.
First guy....On a brighter side, I think the soccer match we witnessed is an eveent which ILLUMINATES the christmas holidyas every year.
Second guy....Yes,I think so but it was marked by ERRATIC shooting upfront which made the home team FORFEIT the trophy.
First guy....there was also EXTENSIVE jubilations from supporters of the away side. One ugly incident was that of the referee. He was attacked immediately by the home side when he blew his final whistle.
Driver......I think the best thing was for the security present to ISOLATE the referee from the supporters or better still, FORTIFY their number at the venue to bring the situation under control.

I laughed out loud and they asked me why I was laughing.I answered..."I was at the stadium too"
